Session Spotlight - 2018 ISCE Annual Conference

Session II, Dr. Jean-Philippe Couderc, Chair
Big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning in Electrocardiography

Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to electrocardiographic signals is emerging with the increasing number of recording devices enabling digital storage of the ECG tracings into cloud servers, or other digital warehousing technologies. There are great expectations about the ability of AI to improve annotation of cardiac rhythms, and a clear need for such tools to facilitate serial ECG analysis as well as processing long-term streaming ECG data. In this proposed session of ISCE 2018 entitled, “Big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning in Electrocardiography," we invited technology leaders from the industry to share their insights into current and future development of AI in their organizations and in the arena of quantitative electrocardiography in general. The topics will include the description of work around rhythm and beat annotations based on deep learning algorithms, and performance evaluation in various types of ECG acquisition schemes.
