Session Spotlight - 2018 ISCE Annual Conference

Session IX, Dr. Rob MacLeod, Chair
Identifying, diagnosing and guiding invasive treatment for atrial fibrillation from wearable devices to electrocardiographic imaging to guide ablation
Part 2: Electrocardiographic imaging (inverse solution) – application to atrial fibrillations

Electrocardiographic Imaging (ECGI) is a technology that has always enjoyed great potential but is now achieving some of that potential through a wide range of clinical applications and the release of commercial systems for clinical use.  This session will address all these elements in state of the art updates from leaders in the worlds of engineering research (Dr. Maria Guillem), clinical practice (Dr. John Sapp, Jr.), and clinical device development (Dr. Joaquin Azpilicueta). The presentations will cut also across several electrophysiological conditions and applications with an emphasis on atrial fibrillation and will seek to show how ECGI can guide diagnostics and therapy in patients. The session will reflect what makes ISCE a unique experience, balancing engineering, clinical practice, and commercial product research and development, all applied to diseases of major importance to society.
